About Miller Park

A Bit of History

Established back in 1910, Miller Park came to life thanks to a generous land donation from Mary M. Miller, who dedicated the space as a memorial to her son. The park bears the distinctive touch of the Olmsted Brothers, the legendary landscape architects who left their mark on many of Seattle's most treasured green spaces.

Where to Find It

Nestled between 19th and 21st Avenues in Seattle's vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood, this 7.9-acre green sanctuary provides a welcome breath of fresh air amid the surrounding mix of family homes and apartment buildings.

What You'll Find Here

At the heart of Miller Park lies a spacious open field that got a major upgrade in 2013 when its dirt surface was replaced with turf. This transformation has made it much more versatile for everything from casual frisbee tosses to organized sports. Right beside the field stands the Miller Community Center, built in 1998, offering indoor recreation options and community programs for when Seattle's famous rain makes an appearance.

More Than Just Green Space

Over the years, Miller Park has evolved alongside its neighborhood. Its location next to Meany Middle School makes it particularly popular with students and families, often acting as an extended playground for the school community.

Everyone's Welcome
